Spotify Chat Backup is a private, single-user backup utility. It uses Google Drive only to store and verify sanitized recovery backups for the owner's Spotify Chat Control installation.
The application may access Google Drive file and folder metadata and file contents as required to create, upload, list, update, verify, and retain recovery backup files in the designated backup location.
Google user data is used solely to provide backup and recovery functionality requested by the account owner. It is not used for advertising, profiling, resale, or unrelated analytics.
Google user data is not sold or shared with advertisers or data brokers. The application is a private utility and does not disclose Google user data to third parties except where technically required by Google Drive itself or where required by law.
OAuth credentials used by the backup utility are stored on the owner's private server with restricted filesystem permissions. Recovery archives intentionally exclude Google OAuth credentials, Spotify OAuth credentials, refresh tokens, and callback authorization codes.
Backup files are retained according to the owner's configured recovery policy. The owner can delete backup files from Google Drive at any time and can revoke the application's Google account access through Google Account security settings.
The application uses OAuth 2.0 and HTTPS. Access to the host-side credential storage is restricted to the dedicated backup service account.
Questions about this private application can be sent using the support contact shown on its Google OAuth consent screen.
